What tarot actually is

A tarot deck is 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana carrying the great archetypes of a human life — beginnings, love, loss, transformation, renewal — and 56 Minor Arcana covering its everyday weather across four suits: Wands (energy and will), Cups (emotion and relationships), Swords (thought and conflict), and Pentacles (work and material life). For centuries, people have used these images not to see the future but to see themselves — the way a well-chosen metaphor suddenly makes a confusing situation legible.

How a reading works here

You ask a question and draw three cards — past, present, future. Each card's traditional meaning comes from our card library, faithful to the Rider-Waite-Smith canon. The final synthesis — the reading that weaves your three cards and your question into one coherent answer — is composed fresh by an AI language model trained on the symbolic and psychological tradition of tarot interpretation. No two readings are identical, because no two questions are.
